Dubai Police Finishes 65 Projects, Says AI Is The Next Priority
The force is not only becoming more efficient, but also greener and smarter — with sustainability efforts already collecting awards.
Dubai Police has completed 65 of its 88 infrastructure and construction projects over the past five years, with the remaining 23 underway — a rebuild aimed less at the front line and more at the hidden moving parts behind it. The projects form part of a long-term strategy to build a more resilient, technology-enabled policing system. The progress was detailed at the annual inspection of the General Department of Logistics Support, where Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, reviewed the state of the force’s facilities, logistics, and operational readiness.
Automation is being targeted as the next area for investment. Al Marri framed the expansion of logistics support and the accelerating adoption of artificial intelligence across operational processes as central to institutional readiness and to public sector excellence, in line with the Dubai government’s long-term vision. In practice, that has so far meant refurbishing facilities to international standards; the smart systems for asset, facility, and service management are still to be introduced.
The police’s planning efficiency in resource and asset management held at 99 percent across 2024 and 2025, with supplier satisfaction at 93.8 percent, employee satisfaction at 99.3 percent, catering at 99.9 percent, Officers Club services at 97.7 percent, and Esaad card services at 91.5 percent.

Sustainability is where the recognition has actually accumulated, with the department securing three local and international awards and published nine approved intellectual works. Its Carbon Zero Police Force project won the UK’s Green Apple Award, while its Standard Home Retrofit and Solar Energy for Buildings projects earned two honors under the Dubai Demand Side Management Excellence Program. Dubai Municipality added a Gold Category A food safety classification.
Closing the inspection, Al Marri called for continued investment in AI-powered logistics, sustainable infrastructure, and innovative operational solutions — the background machinery, in other words, that keeps a police force running long after the sirens fade.
